Missing Sin

The missing sin from the list of 7 deadly sins is:
Knowledge without character.
Thanks to our alert follower who drew my attention to the ommission.

  1. How about lack of knowledge? Monday next is the 28th September but who will remember the Jersey heroes? Why are we so ashamed of the history of ordinary Jersey people but so ready to build memorials to tyrannical bailiffs, governors and other imposed officials?

  2. How is it possible for Jersey's only real political party with several elected "peoples representatives" in the States - to have so little to say on this site about the many important issues of the day?

That's a very good point. If you throw yourself into blogging properly, it will be worth the effort. At the moment it all seems a bit forced and half-hearted on your part, which in turn hardly inspires return readers or comment leavers.

Try and understand what a fantastic promotional tool this blog could be for your party. Take it seriously and the public will take it seriously.

  4. And get linked to other local blogs and websites. That's the lifeblood of passing trade on the internet. If nobody knows you're here, nobody is going to come looking for you.

  5. Thanks for some constructive criticism. I personally agree with the points raised by our commentators, but some of my colleagues are still a bit sceptical about blogging.

  7. So is the Sex Offenders law a step in the right direction or just another step towards the tyranny of the thought police? C'mon you guys - you voted for it but where does the surveillance end? This law is just the start of a very worrying threesome namely, vetting and barrring and the Jersey Migration law - are you sure that this a good direction to be headed. After all, in practice the sex offenders and those just suspected of being sex offenders will effectually be deported from Jersey just as so many of those with deviant political views and anti-finance policies are effectually banished too. C'mon you elected representatives - why not engage with the public here on these uncomfortable issues?

  8. Presumably your colleagues would rather rely upon the "accredited media" to accurately represent their views?

Self doubt is a terrible curse on progress.
